Dr. Douglas S. Clouse, MD
Dr. Clouse is a native from Mesa, AZ. He graduated with a BS in exercise physiology from Brigham Young University. His continued his education and obtained his MD from Tulane School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA in May 2002. In medical school he was Alpha Omega Alpha, an honor given to students in the top ten percent of the class. He was also presented as being the outstanding orthopedic student at Tulane Medical School. Dr. Clouse continued his internship training in San Antonio, following his orthopedic training at the University Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. He served as a chief resident in 2006-07.
Dr. Clouse was sport fellowship trained under the direction of Dr. Jesee DeLee and Dr. Stephen Burkhart. During his fellowship he gained vast experience in several sport injuries. Dr. Clouse served as a team physician for two local high schools in San Antonio from 2002-2008. He provides a variety of orthopedic services including, cartilage and meniscus repair, ACL reconstruction, ligament injuries, shoulder and knee arthroscopy, rotator cuff injuries, shoulder dislocation/instability, hip, knee, and shoulder replacements, hip resurfacing, knee uni-arthroplasty and signature total knees.
Dr. Clouse is married with four children. In his spare time he enjoys, the outdoors, bike riding, water sports, basketball, sporting events, leisure reading, and spending time with his family.
